A showcase of Medway’s talented young people to launch the YPU album!
Some of my earliest work in the creative sector was through youth community projects which would tend to culminate with a final show or product outcome. I recall one project based in South-West London where the finale included talented young musicians, dancers and actors showcasing their work through live performance of dance, music and drama. Now some years later, this current project takes me back.
Talented young people have once again united around music and dance. Now on Saturday 23rd July at Rochester Cathedral a group of young ‘creatives’ will showcase their work in this forthcoming event. It has been a joy and inspirational supporting and enabling these young men and women to develop.
Over the past year I have had the privilege of working with a selection of young people mostly from the Medway towns where alongside a team of other creative practitioners we have given them the opportunity to develop their skills in dance, music production, singing and songwriting. This project is focused around producing a studio recorded Album which is now well underway will be ready to unleash in the not too distant future. This live event will showcase the progress made on that project.
On behalf of those young people, the charity that has secured funding for the project and all involved, I’d like to invite you to buy a ticket, come along and support this wonderful, momentous occasion. The show is family friendly. Start the summer break with a celebration of positive vibes brought by some of the gifted youth of Medway.
